HALEY HIDES CONSULTING MONEY - opposite the openess she says she wants..
Haley Repeatedly Failed to Disclose Income from Company That Had Business Before the State; Barrett Campaign Calls on Haley to Release Tax Returns, Business Contracts
At the WIS debate last week, Representative Haley claimed “everything is out there” in regards to her financial disclosure forms and personal tax returns.
Not true!
An article in The State newspaper ..says that Haley, as a legislator in 2008-2009, she took money from Wilbur Smith, a private company that did business with state government, and repeatedly failed to disclose this income on her Statement of Economic Interest Form both in 2008 and 2009.
Haley has centered her campaign on beign open and transparent...BUT .,.. it appears she doesnt practice what she is preaching.
The Haley - Smith relationship presents a clear conflict of interest for Representative Haley and raises serious questions.
Gerhsma Barrett is calling on Representative Haley to release financial documents to provide transparency regarding her relationship with Wilbur Smith. Specifically, she needs to release her 2007 and 2008 tax returns in order to answer questions about the amount of income she received from Wilbur Smith while the company had business before the State Legislature.
The Barrett campaign is calling on Representative Haley to:
Release her 2007 and 2008 tax returns (Congressman Barrett has made his 2007, 2008, and 2009 tax returns available for viewing at his campaign office);
Immediately correct her Statement of Economic Interest to accurately reflect the income she earned from Wilbur Smith;
Immediately disclose her contract with Wilbur Smith stating what exactly she was paid for;
Disclose any other consulting work she did for businesses during her time as a State Legislator.
Please consider these revelations before voting..and choose the open,honest,candidate- Gresham Barrett. He is the proven leader that SC's NEEDS.
